Our talented people drive our success as a business, and we strive to help them build fulfilling careers.
In 2023/24, for the first time, we had more than 1,000 employees, as we continued to expand our teams to serve our growing customer base.
We aim to attract, engage and retain employees, helping them build fulfilling and rewarding careers in a supportive and fun environment.
We do all we can to support the health and happiness of our people. We offer free and subsidised gym access at or near our offices, and our people can buy reduced-price bicycles through our Cycle to Work scheme.
Our 24/7 employee assistance programme and designated wellness ambassadors support good mental health, and we offer up to two extra days of discretionary paid leave for people in difficulty. Our hybrid working policy combines the benefits of collaboration, innovation and social interaction in the office, with the flexibility and positive work-life balance that comes from being at home.
We have a responsibility to provide equal opportunities to people of all genders and ethnicities. We’ve made good progress in gender parity, with women representing 40% of our total workforce, including our CEO and MD Phoenix. To encourage more women to enter the technology sector, we work with local schools and attend events that promote women in IT.
We are also trying to become more ethnically diverse. We provide training to our hiring managers on how to avoid unconscious bias when recruiting, and work with a specialist agency that helps companies hire people from minority groups. We also hold awareness activities to promote understanding, awareness and inclusion.
